Media making today is something fundamentally different from what it has been before. Content, people and platforms are connected and interact in increasingly dynamic ways. Developments are fast. Filmmakers, storytellers, gamers, coders and designers have to learn to collaborate in order to invent thrilling media experiences for the future.

The Bilkent Media Future Initiative is an interdisciplinary event build around talks, roundtable discussions, and hands-on practice on media technology, sound and image production workflows, audience engagement, transmedia entertainment, and streaming platforms in Turkey and worldwide by industry specialists, filmmakers, designers, creaters, makers, enthusiasts.

BMFI is hosted by the Department of Communication and Design in collaboration with the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Bilkent University.
